Quick reminder that the Georgia State Sales Tax holiday is this weekend! Our government can’t keep anything simple, so some items are still taxed while others are not and some are taxed after certain caps. Regardless, after this weekend, it will ALL be taxed, so go out and spend!
If you filed an extension for your personal and/or corporate taxes, the due dates are fast approaching. Corporate tax returns under extension are due September 15; personal tax returns under extension are due October 15. Please, please, please don’t wait until the last minute to get us your information!
And finally, scammers are out in full force. If anyone contacts you claiming to be the IRS, State, or any entity working for them, do not give them any personal information via phone or email and certainly don’t give them access to your bank account! If you receive something by mail, please forward it to us so we can confirm its authenticity.
